Abstract
⺠New approach to identify chemical methods able to predict metal bioavailability to snails. ⺠Bioavailability of cadmium, lead and zinc to snails was determined by assessing accumulation kinetics. ⺠EDTA extracts and total soil concentration allows the assessment of bioavailability to snails for Cd and Pb, respectively. ⺠No chemical method allows the assessment of Zn bioavailability to snails. ⺠Total soil concentration coupled with soil characteristics allow Cd, Pb and Zn bioavailability to snails to be predicted.
