Abstract
⺠An efficient method based online sample enrichment and LC-MS/MS has been developed for the analysis of PFASs in water. ⺠The method was applied to assess the occurrence of PFASs in 127 water samples from the whole water cycle from Germany and Spain. ⺠The more frequently found compound in tap water was the perfluorobutanoic acid, which was in the 54% of the samples. ⺠PFOS was the second more frequently found compound with concentrations between 0.04 and 258 ng/L in positive samples. ⺠Just 2 of the drinking water samples from Spain presented concentrations of PFOS exceeding the Provisional Health Advisory.
