Abstract
⺠We studied organic contaminants in groundwater and reclaimed water for irrigation. ⺠Caffeine, nicotine, chlorpyrifos, fluorene, phenanthrene, pyrene were most detected. ⺠Concentration lower than 50 ngLâ 1 was detected (46% of the total 183 contaminants). ⺠Some pharmaceuticals and cholrpyrifos ethyl presented higher levels (>100 ngLâ 1). ⺠Processes engaged: sorption, degradation, preferential flows and alternative sources.
