Abstract
⺠This study considered the total N budget of a peat catchment over the period 1993 to 2009. ⺠Fluvial flux was greater than the atmospheric input in 3 years of the study. ⺠Overall, the total N budget of the peat ecosystem varied from â 1.0 to + 2.5 tonnes N/km2/yr. ⺠In some years the ecosystem was a net source of N.
