Abstract
⺠Removal and fate of pharmaceuticals during wastewater and sludge treatment were studied. ⺠23 pharmaceuticals were detected in effluent wastewater and 11 in dewatered sludge. ⺠The influent concentrations were mostly affected by BNR process, and less by AcoD. ⺠Sorption to sludge was not a relevant removal pathway for the studied pharmaceuticals.
