Abstract
► The adaptive-iterative design (AID) examines nonlinear variable response to stressors. ► AID reduces the amount of a priori knowledge and size of experimental design. ► An easy to use R-code program to identify greater- and less-than additive effects. ► Accurate determination of direction and magnitude of individual and interactive effects. ► We report that binary interactions are the best predictors of higher order mixture effects.
