Abstract
► We collected information on the health of children in one industrialized area in Italy. ► We mapped symptoms' prevalence and estimated spatial trends in prevalence. ► We used generalized additive models, local weighted regression and permutation tests. ► We adjusted our estimates for several potential confounders. ► Type and location of the estimated risks suggest an association between symptoms and pollution.
