Abstract
⺠Short term p,pâ²-DDE exposure stimulates development in Antarctic krill. ⺠Delayed effects include mortality and inhibition of metamorphosis. ⺠Developmental effects occur at body burdens ten times lower than behavioural effects. ⺠Antarctic krill larvae are at least as sensitive to p,pâ²-DDE as temperate species. ⺠First POP threshold data for developmental toxicity in Antarctic krill.
