Abstract
► We assessed episodic contamination on aquatic system due to agricultural activities. ► Physico-chemical monitoring and in situ bioassays were evaluated. ► Increased nutrient and herbicide levels were measured with agrochemicals application. ► Concomitantly, algae growth and daphnids feeding rate were depressed. ► General decline of water quality but the whole system could seemingly recover.
