Abstract
⺠The effect of CO2 stripping on the chemistry of Fe bearing waters was investigated. ⺠Changes in pH, carbonate speciation and Fe(II) oxidation rates were modelled. ⺠Both net acid and net alkaline waters were investigated. ⺠Cascades were shown to degass CO2 more efficiently than mechanical aeration. ⺠Cascade design did not affect CO2 stripping efficiency at the flow rates measured.
