Abstract
⺠A comprehensive study of cloud water was conducted at Mt Tai in China in 2007-2008. ⺠Cloud water composition at Mt. Tai is strongly influenced by anthropogenic emissions. ⺠Cloud water has low pH values and is more acidic for air masses from southern China. ⺠Drop-size dependence of cloud ionic composition varies with cloud evolution. ⺠In-cloud S(IV) oxidation on average accounts for 27% of the total cloud sulfate.
