Abstract
⺠First ambient aerosol measurements of 2-methyltetrols by HPAEC. ⺠A clear seasonal variation of 2-methyltetrol levels observed in PM2.5 and PM10. ⺠2-Methyltetrols can still be detected during the winter in Beijing, China. ⺠Meteorological factors have various effects on the concentrations of 2-methyltetrols. ⺠Aerosol acidity may promote the formation of 2-methyltetrols in urban areas.
