Abstract
⺠A transformation methodology is proposed for LAWR DRO - dBZ conversion. ⺠dBZ observations from ground based disdrometeres are applied. ⺠The transformation makes LAWR data comparable with traditional weather radar data. ⺠The method enables the application of the Marshall-Palmer Z-R relation for LAWR QPE. ⺠Evaluation of the LAWR attenuation correction is facilitated by the methodology.
