Abstract
⺠A heavy rainfall event over northeastern Taiwan is investigated based on observations and WRF model simulations. ⺠This event occurred in the convergence areas produced by the low-level easterly wind and the southeasterly wind. ⺠The orographic effects facilitate the formation and maintenance of heavy rainfall.
