Abstract
⺠Smoke transport patterns over the Maritime Continent are studied. ⺠Use of satellite AOD products, model assimilation and forward trajectories. ⺠Smoke transport pathways are closely related to the low-level atmospheric flow. ⺠Smoke lifetime exhibits multi-scale variability, e.g., under the effect of ENSO, MJO. ⺠Noticeable orographic effect on smoke transport over the MC.
