Abstract
► MODIS hotspot count and back-trajectory analysis indicated cross-boundary smoke. ► Photometric, lidar and PM2.5 analysis showed elevated aerosol loading. ► AOD and Angstrom exponent number corresponded with biomass burning particles. ► Angstrom exponent evolution indicated particle grow due to aerosol aging. ► Temporal and spectral changes in particle single scattering albedo were detected.
