Abstract
												⺠Historical behavior of southwest monsoon rainfall in the Philippines is described. ⺠The southwest monsoon rainfall in western Philippines indicates a drying trend. ⺠Rainfall anomaly index indicates seasonal reversal of monsoon rain response to ENSO. ⺠Most stations show increasing trend in the number of days without rain. ⺠Heavy rainfall days have decreased in recent decades.
