Abstract
► The unsteady motion of the fall of the conical graupel is modeled for the first time. ► The inclination has important impact on the flow fields, especially the drag force and the vortex shedding. ► The drag coefficient decreases with increasing inclination angle. ► The vortex shedding frequency increases with increasing inclination angle.
