Abstract
⺠A new method of atmospheric circulation classification of isobaric maps (as derived from grid data points) is presented. ⺠The method is based on graph theory and employs fuzzy c-means and 'dominant sets' algorithms. ⺠The comparison with other well known classification methods, as evaluated within the COST733 Action, shows a good performance of the proposed method.
