Abstract
âºWe relate Mesoscale Convective System properties with cloud-to-ground lightning. âºSystem area, temperature, ice content and size are strongly related with lightning. âºInitial area expansion showed to be a potential parameter for storm severity definition. âºMaximum lightning occurrence is observed at close systems maturation. âºStrong condensation processes and mass flux contribute for cloud electrification.
