Abstract
► Polytetrafluroethylene membranes were evaluated for wetting behavior under MD conditions. ► Liquid entry pressure (LEP) of pure and salty water was investigated at elevated temperatures. ► Temperature effect on membranes microstructure and stability was investigated in relation to LEP. ► Study revealed internal stresses relaxation in the fibrils of the PTFE membranes with temperature. ► This relaxation leads to change in pore geometry affecting LEP.
