Abstract
⺠Novel PEEKs bearing aliphatic-chain-linked sulfophenyl pendants were synthesized. ⺠The cyano-functionalized poly(arylene ether)s exhibited lower water uptake. ⺠The membranes showed excellent proton conductivities and dimensional stabilities. ⺠The membranes exhibited distinct nanophase separation morphology.
