Abstract
►We present a lidar/multi-spectral/multi-angular approach for boreal forest mapping. ►GLAS lidar heights are used to train forest height models using MISR or MODIS data. ►Filtering GLAS height data with ancillary data flags the least accurate heights. ►The most accurate models are those that include MISR imagery with snow cover. ►MODIS results are less accurate under both snow-covered and snow-free conditions.
