Abstract
⺠A new practical method to detect HABs was developed. ⺠The method was based on MODIS nLw spectral shape discrimination. ⺠The method could discriminate HABs from non-HABs. ⺠The method could discriminate HABs from non-living in-water constituents. ⺠The method can be integrated in the HABs early warning system.
