Abstract
⺠RTM inversion is usually run for isolated pixels, ignoring their spatial neighborhood. ⺠RTM inversion ill-posed as LAI, ALA, Cab and soil color counterbalance each other. ⺠We highlight prospects of spatial information for regularization of model inversion. ⺠Simple implementation in LUT yields spatially smooth and plausible parameter fields. ⺠Our object-based LAI retrieval outperforms pixel-based inversion at Barrax test site.
