Abstract
⺠AATSR LSTs validated with ground LSTs and new radiance-based method in 2002-2008. ⺠The AATSR operational LST algorithm overestimated ground LSTs by 2 to 5 K. ⺠Due to errors in classification and fractional vegetation cover at 0.5° Ã 0.5°. ⺠Emissivity-dependent LST algorithm shows errors within ± 1.0 K for different surfaces.
