Abstract
⺠We related climate conditions and edifice sector collapses for Mexican stratovolcanoes during the Late Pleistocene. ⺠The combination of summer and/or winter pluvial conditions could have contributed to or triggered the failure of already unstable volcanoes. ⺠Fluid availability in the mass prior to a volcanic collapse largely increases the mobility of associated gravitational flows.
