Abstract
⺠We described a millennial length red cedar chronology for West Virginia. ⺠We demonstrate that this record is sensitive to drought and temperature, as well as the North Atlantic Oscillation. ⺠Warmer, wetter conditions are inferred for the period of time known as the Medieval Climate Anomaly (MCA).
