Abstract
► The bark of Boswellia papyrifera tree contains chlorophyll. ► It is very well estimated using the chlorophyll absorption continuum index. ► Bark layers are paper like and transmit sufficient energy to the inner bark. ► During the dry season (leafless and less bark layers) the chlorophyll is evident. ► Presence of chlorophyll is an opportunity to discriminate the species in dry season.
