Abstract
► The “equivalent number of points” QM of a cluster of size M is a useful efficiency indicator. ► The correlogram can be used to estimate the intra-cluster correlation and QM. ► QM is generally higher with stratified sampling than with simple random sampling. ► Sampling plans with a higher number of smaller sites may be more efficient.
