Abstract
⺠Slowly growing horizontal macrovoids (HMVs) are studied in solution-cast membranes. ⺠Nucleation of primary HMVs occurs near sample edge. ⺠Bubbles serve as secondary HMV embryos. ⺠HMV tips grow ahead of the solidification front. ⺠Stresses affect the direction of HMV growth.
