Abstract
⺠Lateglacial mammal fauna from archeological sites and off-site finds, Switzerland ⺠Four chronological relevant fauna groups can be recognized. ⺠The large glacial species, mammoth, rhinoceros, musk ox get extinct 19-17 ka BP. ⺠At around 14,600 BP species typical of a moderate climate dominate ⺠In contrast to N-Europe the cooling of YD had no major effect on the mammal fauna.
