Abstract
⺠PACl removes preferentially the proteinaceous fraction of biopolymers. ⺠TMP increase rate in UF is not in proportion to foulant removal. ⺠Fouling control is a co-effect of different mechanisms. ⺠Monomeric coagulants are more suitable than PACl in inline coagulation with UF. ⺠Lab and pilot scale results on phosphorus removal are consistent with each other.
