Abstract
⺠Evidence of firmground conditions at or near the sea bottom during the middle Cambrian. ⺠Lower Paleozoic occurrences of the Cruziana Ichnofacies reflect firm substrates. ⺠Arthropods were able to foray into brackish-water settings during the Cambrian. ⺠Simple tiering structure and limited use of the infaunal ecospace.
