Abstract
⺠Despite the abundance of cave bear remains little is known about their diet. ⺠We apply dental microwear analysis with scanning electron microscopy. ⺠We compare cave bear microwear with brown bear microwear. ⺠Cave bear diet includes tough food but not underground food items such as tubers. ⺠Cave bear diet does include animal matter such as bones.
