Abstract
⺠A ~ 2000-year-long interval of an upper Miocene lake record is analyzed. ⺠Upper and lower Gleissberg cycles are detected in Miocene lake deposits. ⺠The 1000-year-solar cycle modulates these cycles in lake surface proxies. ⺠The Earth-system-immanent 1500-year-cycle is reflected in hinterland proxies. ⺠These cycles seem to have had influence on the regional wind system.
