Abstract
⺠Compare high resolution records of PETM precipitation and temperature ⺠Initial shift to drier paleosols and lower precipitation just prior to PETM onset ⺠Paleosols show major drying during body of PETM when temperatures are highest ⺠Wetter soils during PETM recovery; wetter conditions persist after the recovery ⺠MAP estimates should be evaluated alongside estimates of temperature
