Abstract
⺠Oxidation and salts in outcrop alter paleosols, which need to be examined in core. ⺠Cretaceous leaves in sandstones of Kansas are goethite (not pyrite) “death masks”. ⺠Mid-Cretaceous paleosols of Kansas record a warm-wet subtropical greenhouse spike.
