Abstract
⺠We study a well-preserved Aptian carbonate shelf succession in the Aralar Mountains. ⺠A continuous and detailed C-isotope curve is established improving previous records. ⺠A clear link between C-cycle and calcification crisis is identified in the study ramp. ⺠A shift from coral- to orbitolinid-rich carbonates concurs with the increase of pCO2.
