Abstract
► Innovative design of ENMs and their suitability for nanofiltration were investigated. ► A thin film was produced on the surface of ENM through interfacial polymerization. ► ENMs possessing pore-size less than 1 μm were suitable to support the thin film. ► As the fiber-size decreased the separation of electrolytes increased. ► High fluxes with high rejections of electrolytes were achieved with TFNC membranes.
