Abstract
⺠Mercury can have profound and complicated effects on the immune system. ⺠We examined associations of mercury exposure with wheeze and eczema in children. ⺠Study subjects were 582 Japanese mother-child pairs. ⺠Range of hair mercury levels was 0.26â6.05 μg/g in mothers and 0.13â9.51 μg/g in children. ⺠Neither maternal nor children's hair mercury levels was related to wheeze or eczema.
