Abstract
⺠We quantified the health effects from estimated temperatures in California for 2025 and 2050. ⺠Dose-response functions were combined with projections from several emissions models. ⺠Annual premature mortality ranges from 2100 to 4300 for 2025 and from 6700 to 11,300 for 2050. ⺠Estimates using age-specific concentration-response functions generate the highest effects. ⺠Estimates using the low emissions scenario are roughly half of these estimates.
