Abstract
⺠Thin asymmetric membranes made of doped ceria by tape casting have been prepared. ⺠At high pO2, the permeation is mainly controlled by the ambipolar conductivity of the ceria layer. ⺠The membrane performance was unaltered when the sweep gas contains 15% CO2. ⺠The highest permeation rate (ca. 5 ml minâ1 cmâ2 at 1000 °C) was achieved using methane (15%) sweep.
