Abstract
⺠New nanostructured SBS membranes have been prepared and characterized. ⺠The membrane nanostructure can be opportunely tuned by changing the casting solvent and PS content. ⺠Ordered PS cylinders in plane to membrane surface (equilibrium morphology) have been obtained by SBS28 and toluene. ⺠This equilibrium morphology is the best one in terms of ethanol selectivity compared to the disordered nanostructures. ⺠The combination SBS21 and toluene produces a metastable morphology with reduced ethanol selectivity.
