Abstract
► BaFe1−xYxO3−δ material is prepared as oxygen permeable membrane. ► The electronegativity of doping element has strong impact on the oxidation state of B-site ions. ► Y-doping at B-site stabilizes successfully the cubic perovskite structure of BaFeO3 to room-temperature. ► Y-doping enhances remarkably the structural stability of BaFe1−xYxO3−δ. ► BaFe0.95Y0.05O3−δ shows good compromise between oxygen permeability and structural stability.
