Abstract
⺠The oxidative cleaning hydrophilizes the surface of UF membranes. ⺠The more cleaned membranes adsorb the protein better than the virgin ones. ⺠The degree of adsorption correlates well with the contact angle data. ⺠The increase of water flux after oxidative cleaning over the initial values increases fouling potential.
