Abstract
► Online functionality of a sensor in laboratory and in situ is tested successfully. ► The sensor measured metal grade of ECS concentrated falling bottom ash. ► Measurement errors 0%, 1.5% and 3.1% for moist, dry and wet feed, respectively. ► A 10 mm splitter shift showed in 18% change in metal grade. ► A 10 mm splitter shift resulted in 10% improvement in non-ferrous metal recovery.
