Abstract
⺠Laboratory testing data of an ash from Michigan is presented and compared to the literature. ⺠Grain size distribution was similar; compaction characteristics different among samples. ⺠Specific gravities lower than silicic soils. ⺠Shear strengths higher than typical sandy soils. âºIn situ shear wave velocities were higher than sandy soils, indicative of cementation.
