Abstract
⺠Characterization of polyolefins from packaging reflects the parameters of the recycling processes. ⺠Density separation can sort PP and HDPE, and the appropriate cut density is 910-920 kg/m3. ⺠The rheological properties of polyolefins can identify the type and molding procedure. ⺠The difference of blow and injection molds in wall thickness allows some sorting by flake thickness. ⺠Polyolefins and contaminants are clearly identified by hyperspectral imaging process.
