H2-rich syngas production by fluidized bed gasification of biomass and plastic fuel

► For small scale gasification the pelletization treatment is a suitable strategy to homogenize different raw materials. ► The presence of steam increases the production of hydrogen and reduce the tar concentration. ► The catalyst enhances the hydrogen production and the tar reduction more than the steam. ► The biomass/plastic pellets are promising in hydrogen yield even they show a higher fine elutriation rate and tar generation.
